
Ticket Terms & Conditions
ABAA New York International Antiquarian Book Fair

By purchasing or using a ticket to attend the New York International Antiquarian Book Fair (the “Event”), held at the Park Avenue Armory, 643 Park Ave, New York, NY 10065 (the “Venue”), officially sanctioned by the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers, and produced and managed by Sanford L. Smith + Associates, collectively referred to as the “Organizer,” you agree to the following terms:
Entry Requirements
Each ticket admits one person and must be presented at the entrance of the Venue. Reentry is permitted only on the same day of admission with a valid wristband issued at check-in. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse tickets and/or attendance by refunding the purchase price, and to remove any individual for improper conduct or noncompliance with Event policies. For the purposes of this policy, “improper conduct” includes, but is not limited to, disruptive behavior, harassment, verbal or physical abuse, intoxication, damage to property, or any actions that jeopardize the safety or enjoyment of other attendees or staff.
Ticket Validity & Transfers
Tickets are valid only for the date(s) indicated. All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable and may not be resold or transferred for commercial purposes without prior written consent from the Organizer. Tickets may be denied with no refund if acquired outside authorized sources and ID may be required.
Personal Belongings & Security Checks
All bags and personal items are subject to inspection upon entry. Prohibited items include but are not limited to weapons, large bags, and outside food or drink with the exception of lidded water bottles. All backpacks, messenger bags, briefcases, and satchels larger than 9" x 4" x 12" (21 x 10 x 30 cm), as well as umbrellas and coats, must be left at the complimentary Coat Check. Personal handbags (smaller than the above dimensions), delivery packages, and purchases are subject to inspection at any time. Books, manuscripts, maps, or similar items are not permitted into the Event unless accompanied in and out by a badged exhibitor.
Health & Safety Acknowledgment
By attending the Event, you and any accompanying parties voluntarily assume all risks, hazards, and dangers arising from or relating in any way to the risk of exposure to a communicable disease or illness, including but not limited to COVID-19. This includes exposure before, during, or after the Event, regardless of how caused or contracted.
Visitors and their guests agree not to attend the Event if any member of their party is feeling ill.
By attending the Event, you, your heirs, assignees, next of kin, and/or legally appointed representatives waive any and all claims against Sanford L. Smith & Associates LTD, The Seventh Regiment Armory Conservancy, the Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association of America, the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers, and all affiliated entities or persons, arising from such exposure. By attending the Event, you agree to comply with all health and safety protocols in place at the time of the Event.
Event Changes, Cancellation & Force Majeure
The Organizer reserves the right to make changes to the Event schedule, programming, or format. The Organizer shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform any obligation, including the holding or continuation of the Event, due to causes beyond its reasonable control. These causes include, but are not limited to, natural disasters such as floods, fires, earthquakes, hurricanes, or severe storms; acts of terrorism or threats thereof; war or military action; civil disturbances; labor strikes or lockouts; epidemics, pandemics, or other public health emergencies; government orders, restrictions, regulations, or advisories (including travel bans and facility closures); failure of utilities or essential services; or any other circumstance that makes it illegal, impossible, inadvisable, or commercially impracticable to hold the Event as planned. In the event of cancellation, liability is limited to a refund of the ticket price paid. No other costs will be reimbursed.
Ticket Scanning & Fraud Prevention
The Event utilizes ticket scanning for entry. Tickets are unique and may not be reproduced or resold. Any such attempt will result in invalidation of the ticket and denial of entry, with no refund.
Photography & Media Use
By attending the Event, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded for promotional or archival purposes. All media captured may be used without compensation or further approval.
Visitors may take photographs for personal use only, provided that such photography does not disrupt the experience of others or violate the rights of exhibitors. The use of flash photography, tripods, selfie sticks, and other professional photography equipment is strictly prohibited. Additionally, photography may be restricted in certain areas of the Event, including but not limited to private booths, exclusive exhibits, or items that are under copyright protection. Visitors must comply with any specific restrictions on photography set by exhibitors or Event staff. All photographs taken must not be used for commercial purposes, including but not limited to, publication, distribution, or promotion, without prior written consent from the Organizer.
Exhibitor Materials Disclaimer
Printed or digital materials made available by exhibitors, including brochures, handouts, or other resources displayed or distributed during the Event, are provided for informational purposes only. The Organizer does not verify the content of these materials and is not responsible for their accuracy, completeness, or any claims made therein. Attendees should contact exhibitors directly for up-to-date or specific information.
Liability Limitations
The Organizer and its affiliates are not liable for lost or stolen property, personal injury, or any damages arising during attendance at the Event, except as required by law.
Accessibility & Accommodations

Service animals, as defined by the ADA, are welcome at the Event. These are dogs individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered unless such devices interfere with the animal’s performance of tasks or the individual’s disability prevents their use. Event staff may ask whether the animal is required due to a disability and what tasks it performs. No pets or companion animals are permitted on the Event floor. Event staff may require that service animals be carried where feasible, provided it does not interfere with their duties. Comfort animals or pets are not allowed at the Event.
